How does solar energy work?
From the sun to your outlet
Solar modules are made of silicon mixed with other materials (such as phosphorus and boron) that generate positive and negative electrical charges. This is because positive and negative charges must be created to generate electricity.
The inverter converts that energy into alternating current ready for your home or business, and the surplus is fed into the CFE grid in your favor.

What is the DAC rate?
The “High Consumption Domestic” rate, also known as the DAC rate, is the most expensive rate of the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE) for the domestic or residential sector.
Why do I fall into DAC?
Under domestic rates, consuming more than the amount allowed in your area is called DAC. As a result, the government subsidy no longer applies and the price per kWh can reach $3.70 pesos.
How do I get out of the DAC rate?
Once you install a solar system, your bill will automatically reflect the change: you draw less from the grid and leave the high-consumption range.
